Welcome!

Here's my story...

Background:

My entrepreneurial journey has been quite an unusual one because growing up I never really fancied business, probably because my parents were both Middle income Civil Servants who were doing ok at the time, so as far as I was concerned, that was my future too.

As I went through secondary school and university at the University of Maiduguri, I never really thought of going into business.

But something strange happened in 2012 - just about when I was questioning myself if the Msc program I was doing at the time at the University of Nigeria Nsukka had any value to me at all. I was staying with an Uncle at Mararaba (a suburb close to Abuja - FCT), and a friend I had met at the University of Maiduguri  (Josh) came to live close to my uncle's house, and since I didn't really have much to do during the day, I'd usually visit with him whenever he was around.
So one day while visiting him, I found a book at his apartment - RICH DAD, POOR DAD by Robert Kiyosaki, and somehow I was moved to pick up the book and boy! Did I become obsessed? I asked him if I could take the book home, and of course he agreed, and I went on to read that book 3 times in a row that week.
Reading Robert's - Rich Dad, Poor Dad- opened my mind to what was truly my passion “Entrepreneurship". Instantly I got hooked to the idea of financial freedom through business, I began to make plans, set goals and targets.
I decided that I was going to go into Real Estate and build decent homes for people all over Africa, because I saw that there was a huge market for decent homes because most people living around the place, I stayed were living in very poorly put together shelters.

I made the courageous decision to drop out of my MSc program at the University of Nigeria Nsukka because at this point it was crystal clear to me that getting the Msc wasn't aligned with my new found ambitious entrepreneurial goal.

Early Start:

After making the decision to go into business as Robert Kiyosaki had advised, the next problem was finding the capital to start, because I didn't have a penny to my name, and nobody would give me any. So I decided to take a job with a hospitality company in Abuja.

And after a brief 8 month stint in the traditional 9-5 (which in my case was 7am - 6pm) job, I saved up enough money to start my first company after which I quit the job towards the end of 2013. And in the same year (2013), I ventured into the ICT sector and registered TERMA ICT COMPANY and launched an IT training program, because ICT was a booming sector at the time.
My goal was to make so much money from the business and start building houses. But as with every Entrepreneurial journey, I faced multiple setbacks and failures along the way, and I lost all the money I had saved up.
Undeterred, I chose to look at the invaluable experience I had gained from the failed project. So I took up a job working as an IT consultant to the Benue State Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) office, where I got the opportunity to raise Capital and try several other business ventures, some succeeded, some failed, but ultimately I learned valuable lessons that have honed my skills and resilience in business.

Entrepreneurial Journey:

Over the past 11  years, I have embraced failure as a learning opportunity, and by a stroke of luck I stumbled upon a brilliant business growth expert in the US by the name JAY ABRAHAM. Jay opened my eyes to the need to learn from successful entrepreneurs and be mentored by those who have succeeded.
I went on to invest over 10,000 hours, thousands of dollars, and countless coaching sessions learning from powerful entrepreneurs such as Tony Robbins, Seth Godin, Brian Tracy, Bob Proctor, GaryVee, Jay (himself) and multiple other entrepreneurs to develop myself and also develop key business principles and discipline that has helped me grow my businesses. I also became fascinated with Elon Musk and all he has accomplished with Tesla, SpaceX and all other ventures he is invested in, and I have learned greatly from him too.

I went on to register a new company - Tersur Ugoh Investments Nig Ltd (TERSUR GROUP) in 2021, and through TERSUR I have been able to cumulatively create value both for my company, clients, partners and associates in the neighborhood of over 125 million Naira in the period 2021 to 2024.

Current Endeavor:

My unwavering commitment to my initial goal, which is to build homes for all African families has led to the inception of Foolproof Home Constructions. The objective with FOOLPROOF HOMES is to “Help The Vast Majority Of Families in Africa Own Homes That Are Foolproof And Can Stand The Test Of Time”.

Come along

So, my journey exemplifies resilience, determination, and a relentless pursuit of passion and dreams. And as I embark on this journey, I call upon individuals who share this vision to join our team, to collaborate and make a meaningful impact in the lives of Africans. Join me in building a future where every African family has a place to call home and where our solutions are making life better for the vast majority of Africans.
